Most “best Pokémon GO locations” lists still point to Pier 39 and Zaragoza without checking whether those pins still pay off. We teleported to fifteen urban centers, counted every PokéStop and Gym in range, and kept only spots with 400+ combined POI.
Everything below serves the same workflow: pick a dense pin, teleport safely, and grind without wasting cooldowns. Browse the interactive map to filter by region, open the coordinate table for copy-ready numbers and POI totals, or read the location deep dives to see what each area looks like before you jump.

Best Pokémon GO Locations Map for Tested Coordinates
This section maps all fifteen pins on one world view so you can compare regions before you commit to a teleport. Tap a country filter (USA, Japan, Brazil, and others), click a marker or sidebar row to copy coordinates, and jump to the matching deep dive if you want more context. Every pin here cleared our 400+ combined PokéStops and Gyms threshold in testing.
Click any pin to copy its coordinates. Region filters help when you already know you want Tokyo-only or USA-only spots without scrolling the full table.
Tip: Copy coordinates and paste into PoKeep Location Changer. Respect cooldown rules before spinning or raiding.

Best Pokémon GO Location Deep Dives (15 Coordinates)
Sorted by total POI from our in-game tests. Each write-up gives the coordinate, stop and Gym counts, and what the area looked like after we teleported in.
1 Osaka Namba (Nipponbashi) — 589 POI
34.6664, 135.5006
Namba’s covered shopping arcades put stops nearly back to back. This pin had the highest POI density on the page: short walks between overlapping Photo Discs and Gyms, with lure chains common along the corridors on weekends.
Cooldown note
Jumping to another Tokyo pin (Ueno, Shibuya, Kudan) within minutes risks a soft ban—wait before spinning.
2 Ueno Park, Tokyo — 574 POI
35.714982, 139.773581
Museum gates, temple entrances, and park paths fold into one easy loop. Of the four Tokyo pins here, Ueno had the most PokéStops. The open layout makes Community Day routes simple to repeat.
3 Porto Alegre (Farroupilha) — 516 POI
-30.034647, -51.217658
This downtown grid beat every other Latin American pin we tested. Farroupilha Park and the surrounding commercial blocks fill raid lobbies on weekday evenings. Walk west toward the waterfront for extra Water-type spawns on the loop.
4 Shibuya, Tokyo — 514 POI
35.661777, 139.704051
Less park, more street density. The radius around this pin has 55 Gyms, the most in Tokyo after Taipei Guting. Office-hour evenings keep raid lobbies active around the scramble crossing and side streets.
5 Midtown Manhattan (Bryant Park) — 503 POI
40.753742, -73.983559
Office and retail stops pack tight around Bryant Park. You can walk the rectangle without a GPX file, but a saved loop keeps auto-walk tools inside the dense core. Raid trains often stack up at lunch hour.
Cooldown note
Times Square is only ~400 m away—still treat NYC hops as same-city until you confirm distance rules.
6 Larissa, Greece — 498 POI
39.6412, 22.4124
The pin sits on Larissa’s Egnatia corridor in Thessaly, where shops and civic buildings give one of the highest European POI totals here. Stops run closer together than in Thessaloniki, with steady spins along the main avenue.
7 Taipei Guting / Da'an — 490 POI
25.0277, 121.5360
Sixty-three Gyms in one radius, the highest Gym count on this page. Stop totals trail Osaka, but if you want raid lobbies, Guting is the pick here. University and hospital POI fill the Da'an blocks around the pin.
Cooldown note
Taipei Main Station is ~2.2 km north—plan cooldown if you hop between them.
8 Times Square, New York — 486 POI
40.758120, -73.985478
Theatres and retail stops pack into a bright, busy tourist core. Total POI runs a bit below Bryant Park, but evening raids stay active when Broadway crowds are out.
9 Chicago Loop (Jewelers Row) — 466 POI
41.882728, -87.622562
Jewelers Row and nearby financial blocks give you a steady Midwest grid with even stop spacing. The stop-to-Gym ratio here works for mixed item runs and raids without crossing the river.
10 São Paulo (Consolação) — 465 POI
-23.551200, -46.658400
Between Paulista Avenue and downtown office towers, with 39 Gyms in range. Evening raids line up with commute hours. Porto Alegre scored higher on POI, but São Paulo’s larger metro helps if you plan several Brazil pins in one session.
Cooldown note
São Paulo ↔ Porto Alegre is a long hop—wait the full cooldown before spinning.
11 Taipei Main Station Plaza — 457 POI
25.0466, 121.5169
Stops cluster around the plaza, hub exits, and station malls. Spins come fast because mall and transit POI sit close together, including underground retail mapped at street level.
12 Oviedo, Spain — 432 POI
43.3623, -5.8485
The old town and university quarter gave us the strongest Spanish POI on the page: civic buildings and cathedral-adjacent stops, plus 37 Gyms in radius. Narrow streets keep walks short.
13 Thessaloniki (Egnatia) — 428 POI
40.6280, 22.9550
Egnatia here runs like Larissa’s commercial corridor, with slightly lower POI totals than Larissa. The harbour side of the loop adds Water-type spawn checks on the eastern blocks.
Cooldown note
Larissa is ~120 km south—cooldown applies if you jump between them.
14 Sydney Quay Quarter — 412 POI
-33.861756, 151.210883
Ferry terminals and CBD retail share the harbourfront loop. This is the only Australian pin on the list. Transit stops and dense CBD spins sit on a short walkable circuit.
15 Kudan / Yasukuni, Tokyo — 412 POI
35.6941, 139.7454
Shrine and government-district stops cluster around Kudan and Yasukuni. Tighter than Ueno’s open park, but easy to walk. Readable grid, less tourist traffic than Shibuya.
Cooldown note
Only ~2.5 km from Shibuya—treat as a same-city hop with care before spinning both in one session.
GPX Walking Loops for Best Pokémon GO Coordinates
A pin gets you there; a GPX route keeps your avatar walking through the densest clusters. That matters for egg distance, auto-spinners, and movement that does not look like a teleport hop.
We built walking loops for the five densest pins. Each route follows real footpaths from the OpenStreetMap street network (via routing.openstreetmap.de) around the test coordinate, not a hand-drawn circle. Teleport to the center pin first, then import the loop to stay inside the POI radius.
| Loop | Center coordinate | Download |
|---|---|---|
| Osaka Namba loop | 34.6664, 135.5006 | osaka-namba-loop.gpx |
| Ueno Park loop | 35.714982, 139.773581 | ueno-park-loop.gpx |
| Porto Alegre loop | -30.034647, -51.217658 | porto-alegre-loop.gpx |
| Shibuya loop | 35.661777, 139.704051 | shibuya-loop.gpx |
| Midtown Manhattan loop | 40.753742, -73.983559 | bryant-park-loop.gpx |
Step 1. Download a GPX file and open PoKeep Location Changer on your computer.
Step 2. Teleport to the loop’s center coordinate from the table above.
Step 3. Import the GPX route and start multi-spot or joystick movement at walking speed (4–8 km/h).
Step 4. Save the route in PoKeep favorites if the loop produces the item or raid rate you want.
Pokémon GO Cooldown Rules When Hopping Coordinates
If you fly from Osaka to Manhattan with no wait, it can lead to a soft ban easily. Pokémon GO tracks distance between actions that prove your location: spinning stops, catching wild Pokémon, and auto-catcher sessions all count.
- Same city hops (Times Square → Bryant Park): usually safe within minutes if distance is under ~2 km.
- Cross-region hops (Tokyo → New York): wait the full cooldown for that distance before spinning or raiding.
- Auto-catchers still trigger cooldown logic. Disable them until the timer clears.
PoKeep includes a built-in cooldown timer that estimates wait time based on kilometers traveled. For the full distance chart and edge cases (raids on cooldown, trading exceptions), read our Pokémon GO cooldown time guide.
FAQ on Best Pokémon GO Coordinates & GPX Routes
How do I import a GPX walking loop into PoKeep?
Download a GPX file from the table above, teleport to its center coordinate in PoKeep Location Changer (desktop), then import the route. Start movement after the pin loads. Save the loop to favorites if you plan to reuse it.
What walking speed should I use on a GPX route?
Run GPX loops at 4–8 km/h (about 2.5–5 mph). That matches a natural walk, keeps you inside the dense POI radius, and counts toward egg distance. Avoid sprint speeds on urban loops. They look unnatural and can flag risky movement patterns.
How long do I wait after teleporting before spinning PokéStops?
Wait until the cooldown timer for your last action clears. Spinning, catching, and auto-catcher sessions all count. Same-city hops under ~2 km (Bryant Park → Times Square) usually mean short waits; Tokyo → New York needs the full long-distance cooldown before you spin or raid. See our cooldown time chart for exact distances.
What should I do if I get a soft ban while hopping coordinates?
Stop spinning, catching, and raiding immediately. Do not teleport again until the ban lifts, often 30 minutes to a few hours for mild soft bans. Play at your real location or stay idle at the current pin. Repeated actions during a ban can extend restrictions. Use PoKeep’s cooldown timer to avoid triggering the next one.
Which coordinate on this list has the highest Gym count?
Taipei Guting logged 63 Gyms in one scan radius, the highest on this page. Osaka Namba leads total POI (589) with 65 Gyms; Shibuya has 55 Gyms for Tokyo raid volume. Sort the coordinate table by Gym count when lobby density matters more than stop farming.
Best Pokémon GO Places to Teleport
Fifteen coordinates, each with 400+ PokéStops and Gyms in range from our tests. Pick a pin on the map, copy it, load a GPX loop if you want movement, and wait out cooldowns before you spin.
Open PoKeep, paste Osaka Namba or Ueno Park, and save the route once raid and item rates match what you need.
